Daarom is ek nog by Kleipot.

wow...I 'randomly' chose to listen to this talk today, to do church with you all...and am blessed yet again by God's goodness in the ways He speaks to, and encourages, me. I have been immersed in Romans of late, for the first time ever actually, therefore this was a timely conversation! I have been struck by the fact Jesus came to set us free from the captivity of the rules and laws of the day however through the Holy Spirit, and His Grace, to adhere to the foundational truths and laws of God, not man. I agree with one of your female speakers (sorry, no names!) who mentioned this, once I became a child of God...truly knew that in my heart and embraced that truth, following His requests is a pleasure. I have a long way to go, I know, but am on the freedom path. I have also been learning more about those foundational truths of the commandments and how they impact my life today. For example, God's truths are absolute and, similar to gravity, irrefutable whether we like them or not. If I made a judgment toward a parent while growing up, whether justified or not, I have had to reap the results of that judgment as it went against the commandment to honour my father and mother. Becoming aware of this has enabled me to ask for forgiveness, pray for help to forgive them, pray effectively to remove any 'ties' that were formed when that happened, and come into more and more emotional, mental and spiritual freedom. Praise God! I have a new understanding. I thank you for your hearts in this! blessings, maureen
ps also enjoyed the ideas of sacred pathways, different options...

I also make a point to ask collegues about their children, hobbies ect., especially the people at our company that I do not work with on a day to day basis to have a more meaningful relationship. I do not always have time to do it but want to now add it to my plan so that my acc. friend can hold me accountable to make an effort with at least one person per week.

I pray a prayer out of a prayer book I have every morning before I do my "own" prayer. It helps me to focus on God first before I start babbling to Him about my own stuff! When I pray the words I think about my own attitude/feeling about what I am praying, do I mean it, do I do it ect. and talk to God about it.

A really challenging act that one of my friends practice is to invite someone for coffee or to his home, whom he really do not want in his space.
I still battle with this, but believe that this is a good stretching act, as God loves this person as much as He loves me, and this teaches me to accept people, and view people through the eyes of our loving Father.
